Our Reason for Being

Bend has a way of pulling people in — its population has doubled since 2000. But while it’s easy to fall in love with the mountains and the lifestyle, building real community takes a little more effort.

That’s why Duke Alumni of Bend was created.

Whether you’re looking to expand your professional network, exchange ideas, mentor or be mentored, plan adventures or simply enjoy good conversation, this community offers an instant common bond in a town we all call home.

What We’re Up To

Gather

Connect, converse, have coffee or take a hike in the Cascades with Duke grads of all ages and interests. Come up with your own ideas or share your expertise with us.

Game On

Gather at a local pub to amplify your enthusiasm as the Blue Devils compete on the basketball court, the football field or any sports venue that gets televised coverage!

Collaborate

Find like-minded business partners, get solid career advice, meet other remote workers or form a start-up together. Just do it in a relaxed space where everyone who is there, is there to meet someone like you.

Nurture

Interview Duke applicants from Bend and Central Oregon referred by the Admission Advisory Board. Celebrate those accepted with a rousing send-off party that summer for students and their parents.
